We are pleased to continue the tradition of the Diocese of Sacramento Marello Leadership Awards! Named for St. Joseph Marello and presented as a partnership program between the Diocese of Sacramento and the Marello Youth Retreat Center, these special accolades strive to recognize exemplary youth and young adult leaders and programs.
The 2012 awards were presented at the 10th Anniversary Gala event for Marello Youth Retreat Center on October 20, 2012. Appropriately, the event theme was Anchored Firmly...an important dual significance as these awards were presented to individuals and programs who aim to "anchor" youth and young adults firmly in their faith. Bishop Emeritus William K. Weigand presented the awards with Kevin Staszkow, Director of Evangelization and Catechesis for the Diocese of Sacramento.
The 2012 recipients were:
Rhyan and Danielle Ramirez - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Fairfield
Mary and Patrick Maguire - St. Joseph Marello Parish, Granite Bay
Dan & Lisa Nollette - St. Joseph Marello Parish, Granite Bay
Juan Carlos Paredes - Radio Santísimo Sacramento
