A Lenten Journey

The Stations of the Cross remind the faithful of Jesus' unimagineable suffering as he carried his cross, and the burden of mandkind's sinfulness.  At Mt. St. Joseph, retreatants at Marello Youth Retreat Center experience the Way of the Cross as they journey along the 14 outdoor-scaled sculptures.  This meaningful spiritual-scape adds a special dimension to the season of Lent at Marello Youth Retreat Center.

A Fountain of Virtues

Marello Youth Retreat Center released its 2010 desktop calendar, which features the wisdom and inspiration of St. Joseph Marello on its pages.  Each month depicts a photo of the beautiful grounds of Mt. St. Joseph coupled with a compelling quote on virtuous living.  Limited quantities are available. Please inquire at (916)652-6155.

Maintenance and improvements

Like any facility, Marello Youth Retreat Center (MYRC) must be attentive to ongoing maintenance and improvements to ensure its safety, comfort and functionality.  With more than 2,000 young people passing through its doors during the year, the building, furnishings and grounds experience more than average wear and tear!  That’s why we’re grateful for your generosity.  Beyond typical operational expenses, MYRC anticipates major flooring improvements (new carpet and linoleum), and furniture replacements.  If you can help with these items, or you know someone who can, please give us a call at 652-6155.  And check out our wish list for other items that help fulfill our retreat experiences for young people.
