Marello Ministry
High School Marello Ministry
Every Tuesday the doors to Marello Youth Retreat Center are opened for any high schoolers that want to come and spend time in community, prayer, and formation (6:30-8:00). This is also the opportunity for any adults that are interested in ministry to come and help out! Ministering to the high schoolers on a weekly basis and helping plan retreats.
Young Adult Marello Ministry
Every Wednesday young adults are invited to gather for a holy hour (6:00-7:00) at the chapel up at the Mount and then for community afterward (7:30-9:00). Our time in community will sometimes be planned activities and at other times will be intentionally unstructured. Sometimes all you need is some tea, a fire, and a good conversation ya know?

Our Mission...
Marello Youth Retreat Center was established so the Oblates of Saint Joseph of the Holy Spouses Province could serve the greater community primarily through hosting retreat groups. Plenty of Parishes hold their own retreats on our facility throughout the year. In addition, we also like to offer a few things of our own making! The Marello Ministry group (both a high school group and a young adult group), our retreats, events, and fundraisers are all ways that we seek to evangelize and grow in community. Some of these things are already well established in the greater community and others are only just beginning. Regardless, all of our ministries are pursued with a hope and fire, and are under the constant watch and intercession of Saint Joseph Marello.

Support Team
Throughout the year we hold different activities focused on different demographics. Twice a year we have high school retreats and young adult retreats. In the past we have hosted leadership retreats, fundraisers (like the SJM Pancake Breakfast), and other miscellaneous events. It is our hope to soon establish a middle school retreat, as well as a HS seniors retreat, and maybe even a Bar Trivia Night! All of these things for the sake of serving our community and getting the word out about our great facility!
None of this is possible without a team of people ready to give their time, volunteering to help with a plethora of things. Some examples are overnight chaperoning for youth retreats, helping with cooking, helping coordinate or set-up for events, driving youth, and participating on retreats as a leader.
“Work, work to educate youth; even a little can mean so much and to be an obstacle to evil is already a great good in our times.” - St. Joseph Marello
